the Spirit Man doctrine,
Notes below by Loren Grace
(My notes [CH] are toward the end of this article.)
Scriptures: (I [LG] added caps for emphasis)
Matthew 7:15 -- "Beware of FALSE PROPHETS, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves."
(False prophets APPEAR to be good and Godly, but they are not! They APPEAR to have good fruit, but do not! This is the power of deception!)
Matthew 7:22-23 -- "Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not PROPHESIED in your name? and in your name have CAST OUT DEMONS? and in your name done many wonderful WORKS? And then will I profess unto them, I NEVER KNEW YOU: depart from me, you that work iniquity."
(Works, signs, and displays of power does not necessarily mean someone is following after Jesus Christ. Even satan is capable of producing signs and wonders.)
2 Thessalonians 2:9-12 -- "The coming of the lawless one will be accompanied by the power of Satan. He will use every kind of POWER, including miraculous SIGNS, LYING WONDERS, and every type of evil to DECEIVE those who are dying, those who REFUSED TO LOVE THE TRUTH that would save them. For this reason, God will send them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie. Then all who have not believed the truth but have taken pleasure in unrighteousness will be condemned."
(This is the difference between falling for a deception, and LIVING in deception. Anyone is capable of being tricked. Only those who have no love for the truth LIVE in that deception, and so become delusional, eventually unable to recognize the truth.)
Luke 10:20 -- "Nevertheless, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven."
(Where is your focus? Signs and power? Or your salvation, which comes through Jesus Christ?)
Mark 16:17 -- "And these signs SHALL FOLLOW THEM THAT BELIEVE; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues."
(What comes first? BELIEVING. Signs FOLLOW believing, not the other way around. Focus on following Jesus Christ, not following signs and displays of power.)
The following is a list of ministries, teachers, leaders, and schools you can research and decide for yourself if what they teach is Biblical and Godly or not. As the web is large, this is NOT a comprehensive list, but some of the "bigger names." There are many smaller ministries that teach the same or very similar doctrines as the following.
